We are a Christian church shaped by the Bible, rooted in the historic faith, and centered on the good news of Jesus Christ.

At the center
The good news of Jesus.
Our hope rests in what Christ has done for us. We receive his grace; we do not earn our way into God’s love.
God made us to know him and to live in communion with one another. Yet we have turned from him, and we cannot heal what is broken by our own efforts.
In love, the Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived faithfully, died for sinners, and rose from the dead. Through faith in him, we are forgiven, welcomed as God’s children, and renewed by the Holy Spirit.

These words locate Waypoint within the wider church. Each one gives a little more detail about the faith we confess and the life we share.

Christian
We worship one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We confess Jesus Christ as fully God and fully human, our Savior and risen Lord. We share the foundational beliefs of the historic Christian church expressed in the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds.

reformed
We trust the Bible as the final authority for what we believe and how we live. We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Christ. Our tradition emphasizes God’s faithfulness, the finished work of Jesus, and the freedom to live from his love rather than trying to earn it.

Presbyterian
Waypoint is part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). We are led by elders, served by deacons, and connected to other congregations. We understand the church as a people God gathers to worship, grow, and care for one another across generations.
Gathered and sent
Renewed by grace. Sent in love.
Being Christian, Reformed, and Presbyterian means we belong to God and to one another. He gathers us to worship, hear his Word, pray, share in baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and grow together in Christ. We come with our need, and receive our identity and rest from the grace he gives.
God renews us together so that he can send us into the places he has given us. We share the hope of Jesus, love our neighbors, and seek the good of our city. Along the way, we discover our need for grace again. This is the ongoing rhythm of Waypoint: called in for renewal, sent out on mission.
